Composite Fillings

Composite Seals

Composite fillings are a replacement for the area where the carious zone has appeared (and been removed). After the caries has been removed, the space is filled with a composite filling that is the same color/shade as the tooth and is modeled according to the morphology and anatomy of the tooth. At the end of the procedure, the composite is polished, in order to obtain the most natural and aesthetic design of the patient's smile.

Why are composite fillings placed and what is their function?

The main goal is for the fillings to be in the shape of natural teeth (both in shape and color), without visible borders or a connection to the natural tooth. The goal is for the filling to not be visible, and for the person to not be able to distinguish the filling from their own tooth.
