Dental caries is a multifactorial (under the influence of several factors) bacterial disease of the teeth, which is characterized by demineralization of the teeth and cavity formation. The main cause of caries is poor oral hygiene, i.e. dental plaque.
Caries is treated first by cleaning it and removing the carious tooth tissue, and then a base and filling are placed, which replenishes the lost tooth tissue. Depending on the size of the caries, there are single-surface, double-surface or triple-surface fillings, which also determines the cost of the filling. Finally, the filling is polished to ensure a smooth surface on which plaque will not accumulate.
At Dentoria we use nanocomposites, which are the latest innovation in the field of composites. They are composites with nanofillers, the particle size of which is below the wavelength of light. Because of this, they have an excellent aesthetic appearance and strength, which is superior to other types of composites. We use EQUIA fillings, which have improved mechanical properties - resistance to breakage and high aesthetic properties with a wide range of colors, identical to your natural teeth. At the same time, they emit fluorides and prevent the occurrence of caries.
Pigmentation removal
Pigmentation refers to the discoloration of teeth caused by certain pigments infiltrating the tooth tissue. These stains can be triggered by a variety of factors such as smoking, excessive coffee consumption, high doses of certain medications (e.g., tetracyclines, exogenous fluorides), and the presence of chromogenic (staining) bacteria. At 'Dentoria', we successfully remove most of these pigments by simply air polishing the teeth. For some types of pigmentation, teeth whitening may be required.
At Dentoria, we perform teeth whitening with the BEYOND whitening system, which is currently the newest and best teeth whitening system.
Professional teeth whitening can be performed in-office or at home. In-office whitening is done under the supervision of a dentist and is primarily based on carbamide peroxide or hydrogen peroxide. This type of whitening allows for several shades of your teeth to be whitened in a single visit.
For home whitening, specially made whitening trays are used for each patient and professional whitening gels, which are of a lower concentration than those we use for office whitening.
After whitening, hypersensitivity to stimuli such as hot or cold may occur, but at 'Dentoria' it is successfully prevented and resolved.
