Repair of cracks, fractures, dislocations or tooth eruptions

These dental injuries often occur as a result of a fall, being hit by an object, or physical altercations. A very important prerequisite for repairing these injuries is the time that has passed since the injury occurred.

  • Cracks in the teeth are most often caused by an impact that is not strong enough to cause a fracture. The therapy consists of the local application of fluorides and calcium phosphate. At Dentoria, we use G-aenial liquid nanohybrid composite, which is stronger and has greater wear resistance than other liquid and conventional composites. It has a high gloss, aesthetics and is available in 15 shades, with which your teeth will look natural.

  • The fracture (breaking) of the tooth can be in different parts: on the crown or root of the tooth (on a different new one) and with different extension of the fracture line. The treatment of fractures depends on several factors and can be by upgrading the lost part, gluing the broken fragment (if any) and if the pulp is open, accompanied by its covering or extirpation (removal), and if it is not possible to save the tooth, then its extraction (removal) is necessary.

  • Luxation is a displacement of the tooth from the alveolus (the space in which the tooth is located in the bone) and can be of several different types: lateral (lateral), intrusive (towards the inside of the alveolus) and extrusive (towards the outside of the alveolus). The therapeutic procedure consists of repositioning and immobilization, in the position of the tooth before the injury. Immobilization (fixation) is done with splints for a period of 2-3 weeks (depending on the degree of luxation). A control examination is done after 1, 3, 6, 9 months with vitality control and endodontic treatment, if necessary.

  • Avulsion or tooth eruption is the complete eruption of a tooth from its place (alveolus), outside the oral cavity. In this injury, the erupted tooth can be returned to its place, but the way it is handled and transported to our office is very important. The erupted tooth must not be touched by its root, and its transport should be in an appropriate medium such as: saline solution, save a tooth liquid (from a pharmacy), milk or another type of solution for preserving such teeth, which you can purchase from your nearest pharmacy. The treatment procedure consists of reimplantation (return of the tooth to the alveolus) and then immobilization – fixation of the tooth for a period of 2 to 4 weeks. A very important factor is the time elapsed since the tooth erupted. If no more than an hour has passed, revascularization of the tooth and restoration of its vitality are possible. If more than an hour has passed, endodontic treatment is required before reimplantation or 7-10 days afterwards.
