All on 4

The All-on-4 implant concept involves supporting a complete set of teeth on just four angled dental implants. Unlike traditional implant procedures, which require one implant for each missing tooth, All-on-4 uses four angled implants in the areas of the jaw where the strongest bone is present, maximizing the remaining available bone and avoiding the need for bone grafting. This technique provides a more efficient and cost-effective treatment option, as it reduces the complexity of the procedure and shortens the overall treatment time.

The process typically begins with a comprehensive examination, including diagnostic imaging, to evaluate the patient's oral health and determine the most appropriate treatment plan.

On the day of the procedure, all remaining teeth indicated for extraction are carefully removed, and dental implants are strategically placed at specific angles in the jawbone, two in the front of the jawbone and two implants placed at an angle in the lateral region. The procedure takes about 120-180 minutes and is performed under local anesthesia. If remaining teeth are extracted, a jaw ridge model is also required. This procedure evens out the jawbone level, which is important for the aesthetics and functionality of the implant-supported bridge.

The four implants are placed below the bone level, to which the angled multi-unit abutments are fixed. The multi-unit abutments allow for parallelization of the implant exit profiles, which are placed at different angles, all with the aim of smoothly fitting the prosthetic restoration to the implants. These implants serve as carriers for prosthetically fabricated dental crowns, which will then be placed on them. The number and location of the implants may vary depending on individual factors, such as bone density and overall oral health.

Once the implants are securely anchored into the jawbone, a temporary set of prosthetic teeth is placed on top of them, allowing you to leave our dental office with a fully functional smile the same day. These temporary teeth are designed to provide immediate aesthetic and functional benefits while the implants heal and integrate (bond) with the jawbone.

During the healing process, which usually takes several months, the implants fuse with the surrounding bone through a process called osseointegration. This integration provides a solid support for the definitive prosthetic crowns.

Once healing is complete, you return to our office to have your temporary crowns replaced with permanent crowns. Permanent crowns are precisely designed to match your natural teeth in shape, size, and color, resulting in a beautiful, natural-looking smile.

One of the most significant advantages of this concept is the immediate improvement in oral function, aesthetics, and self-confidence in our patients.

Maintaining implants is similar to caring for natural teeth. Regular brushing, using additional oral hygiene products, flossing, and routine dental checkups are key to ensuring the longevity of implants and overall oral health.
